Earlier, on January 8, Winward Racing, driving a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO, achieved a front row lock-out during qualifying for the Michelin 6H ABU DHABI at Yas Marina Circuit, marking its start to the 2025/2026 Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy challenge. On December 4, 2025, Climax Racing Mercedes-AMG secured pole for the inaugural Michelin 12H MALAYSIA at Sepang, following Dominic Ang of Viper Niza Racing topping the first qualifying session in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 EVO. This event occurred after almost 60 cars, including 30 GT3 entries, were listed on the provisional entry for the Michelin 6H ABU DHABI on November 24, 2025, which serves as the second round of the 2025/2026 Michelin 24H SERIES Middle East Trophy.
