The company operates as a digital free-to-air television channel in Myanmar, under the Family Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of the private broadcaster Forever Group. Launched in February 2012, it expanded the network's terrestrial footprint beyond the MRTV-4 and Channel 7 brands. 5 Plus functions primarily as an outlet for international entertainment, with a programming schedule weighted towards imported serialized content, including Korean, Thai, Indian, and Filipino dramas localized for domestic viewers, alongside foreign feature films.
