News Summary:

On February 6, 2026, AIMS Data Centre Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s largest homegrown data centre operator, finalized the acquisition of approximately 10 acres of prime land in Cyberjaya from tech hub developer Cyberview Sdn Bhd. This acquisition is for the development of a 200MW AI data centre, with an investment of approximately RM4 billion, marking a decisive step in AIMS’ long-term landbank expansion strategy to strengthen Malaysia’s role as Southeast Asia’s premier digital infrastructure hub. The project, which represents an investment of around US$1 billion, will add to AIMS' current total potential capacity in the Klang Valley, exceeding 100MW. The Ministry of Digital, MDEC, MIDA, and other key agencies are accelerating the delivery of this facility, which will expand AIMS' operations across Kuala Lumpur, Cyberjaya, and Bangkok.
