AIMS Data Centre, founded in 1990, is a privately owned carrier-neutral data center operating in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Headquartered in Malaysia, the company employs over 110 individuals and offers international certified data storage facilities and ancillary services to a diverse range of industries, including financial services, oil and gas, OTT, education, and public services.
In Q2 of FY2024, AIMS Data Centre reported a significant drop in net profit from RM2.26 billion to RM99.05 million compared to the same period in the previous year. This decline was attributed to the discontinuation of the company's operations. In a separate development, AIMS Data Centre joined forces with four other major data center service providers in Thailand to form the Thailand Data Centre Council (TDCC). This strategic alliance aims to transform Thailand into a prominent data center hub for Southeast Asia. The TDCC was officially established on January 25, 2023, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by representatives from AIMS Data Centre and other industry leaders.
