Akanga Film Asia, also known as Akanga Film Asia Pte. Ltd., is a privately owned company headquartered in Singapore. Founded in 2005, the company specializes in content rights and functions as a film and television media production house. It is dedicated to financing and executing cinematic stories by new generation Asian and Southeast Asian filmmakers. The studio debuts projects at international circuits including Cannes, Venice, Locarno, and Berlin. Its portfolio includes Yeo Siew Hua’s A Land Imagined, which won the Golden Leopard top prize at the 2018 Locarno Film Festival, and K. Rajagopal’s A Yellow Bird, in addition to co-productions that connect Singaporean film talent with financiers and creators across Europe and South America.
