Albion Football Club, a privately owned entity headquartered in Uruguay, was founded in 1891 and employs approximately 50 individuals. The club operates as a Uruguayan football club located in Montevideo, currently competing in the Liga AUF Uruguaya. It holds the distinction of being the oldest football club in Uruguay, recognized for predating other early sports institutions not solely dedicated to football. In July 2018, Albion became a member of the Club of Pioneers, a worldwide association recognizing the oldest football clubs globally, specifically as the oldest active football club in Uruguay. The club achieved promotion back to the Primera División in 2021 by winning the Segunda División championship, marking its return to the top flight since 1908.
