American Public Media (APM) and The New York Times announced on June 25, 2026, the adaptation of "The Wirecutter Show," Wirecutter's weekly podcast, into a national program for public radio audiences, distributed by APM beginning July 2026. This initiative extends Wirecutter’s product advice and recommendations to a broader audience. Earlier, on May 28, the Glen Nelson Center at American Public Media Group unveiled the winners of its fifth annual Next Challenge for Media and Journalism National Awards at the Media Impact Forum in San Francisco, honoring five organizations across six categories with a total of $200,000 in grants. Among the recipients, The Florida Trib earned the Vision Award for its efforts to scale free investigative journalism in news deserts. Previously, on May 18, Marketplace, in partnership with BBC World Service, launched the "Must Be the Money" podcast, designed to offer financial advice to a younger, diverse audience, with an exclusive screening of the first episode held on May 19.
