American Youth Soccer Organization, also known as AYSO, is a non-profit organization headquartered in the United States. Established in 1964 in Torrance at Jefferson Elementary School with nine initial teams, the organization operates with approximately 10 employees. AYSO functions as one of the two main national organizations for youth soccer in the United States, catering to children aged 4 through 19. It reports a membership of over 50,000 teams and more than 630,000 participants.
