Anglian Water Services completed a £3.1 million project on May 1, installing new water pipes between Keysoe and Ravensden to reduce bursts and secure future water supply. Earlier on May 1, the company announced plans to invest over £350,000 in replacing older water pipes on Gadd’s Lane in Wisbech, with work scheduled from May 5 through July to mitigate bursts, low pressure, and interruptions. Previously, on April 30, Anglian Water reported that foundations were being laid for a 20-million-litre water storage tank near Grantham, an infrastructure piece slated for completion by autumn 2027 and forming a significant part of its 205-mile pipeline spanning North Lincolnshire to Essex. This followed the kick-off of construction on April 29, when foundations for the same 20-million-litre water storage tank were initiated at Welby, Lincolnshire, as part of its Strategic Pipeline aimed at enhancing water supply resilience between Lincoln and Grantham. Separately, on April 29, Anglian Water completed a £1.5 million upgrade in Lower Stondon, Central Bedfordshire, replacing 1.8 kilometres of water pipes, with all connected roads now restored and fully open to traffic.
