Aqua Broadcast is a privately owned company headquartered in the UK. Founded in 2020, it employs approximately 10 individuals. The company specializes in providing FM Transmitters and Audio processors for broadcast media production and distribution.
Aqua Broadcast's Cobalt FM transmitters offer optional native MicroMPX support, which the company claims sets new standards for FM station construction and makes them the first FM transmitters globally with this capability, according to a February 5, 2026 announcement. Earlier, on January 6, 2026, Aqua Broadcast confirmed its plans to exhibit at NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas from April 19–22. This development followed Aqua Broadcast's November 5, 2025 announcement that its flagship Cobalt full-featured FM transmitters could be ordered with built-in MicroMPX SFN technology, a "world first" achieved through a partnership with codec innovator Thimeo. Prior to this, David Reaves, an engineer known for his work at New York City's Z-100, announced a partnership with Aqua Broadcast, noted on August 22, 2025, which generated industry interest. Aqua Broadcast also exhibited its COBALT range of FM transmitters at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam from September 12–15, 2025, an event the company announced on August 5, 2025.
