Arqit, a Privately Owned company headquartered in the UK, was founded in 2017 and employs approximately 160 individuals. Operating within the Information Technology & Services sector, the company supplies a quantum encryption platform-as-a-service.
Arqit filed a Form 6-K report with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on March 3, 2026. This follows Arqit's March 1 announcement of a collaboration with RAD to deliver a joint quantum-safe encryption solution for telcos, enabling quantum-safe business services such as site-to-site and site-to-cloud VPNs and Data Center Interconnect (DCI). Earlier, on February 25, new survey findings, slated for unveiling at MWC Barcelona 2026, indicated that 62% of respondents cited data sovereignty and privacy risks as the biggest factor slowing AI projects in the public cloud. On February 23, Arqit announced its encryption software is available pre-installed inside an Intel Trust Domain Extensions (Intel TDX) trusted execution environment on Intel NetSec Accelerator Reference Design-based accelerator cards, providing quantum-safe keys for Confidential Compute. Previously, on February 18, Arqit and 6WIND launched technology and product integrations to provide highly scalable quantum-safe encrypted virtual private networking (VPN) business services for Telco Service Providers.
