This championship is scheduled for April 6 to 16, 2026, in Kuwait City. This development followed the AHF's announcement on February 11, 2026, that the Saudi Arabian Handball Federation had excused itself from hosting the same championship due to unforeseen circumstances. The event was originally planned for April 1 to 15, 2026, in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
