News Summary:

Qatar won the 11th Asian Men’s Youth Handball Championship on August 31, 2026, defeating Bahrain 28-24 in the Gold Medal Match held in Amman, Jordan. The Jordan Handball Federation hosted the championship from August 20 to 31. Earlier, on August 13, the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) conducted a re-draw for the championship online at its Kuwait headquarters, following the withdrawal of Japan and Chinese Taipei. This re-draw occurred after the AHF successfully held the initial draw ceremony on July 13 at the Jordan Handball Federation Headquarters in Amman. The AHF officially relocated the championship to Amman, Jordan, on June 28, citing unforeseen organizational circumstances that made it impossible to stage the event in Andijan, Uzbekistan, as originally scheduled. This relocation followed the AHF's initial announcement on June 23 that the championship would be moved from Andijan, Uzbekistan.
