Asian Handball Federation (AHF)

The Asian Handball Federation (AHF) is the governing body for handball and beach handball in Asia. It was founded in 1974 and is headquartered in Iran. The AHF has 44 member countries, primarily located in Asia. However, transcontinental countries with territory in both Europe and Asia, such as Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Russian Federation, and Turkey, are not members of the AHF but instead belong to the European Handball Federation (EHF). Additionally, Cyprus, Armenia, and Israel, which are situated along the western edge of Asia, are also EHF members. Notably, Hong Kong, China, and Macau, despite not being independent countries but Special regions of China, are members of the AHF.
