On March 17, 2026, the Australian competition regulator cleared UK-headquartered Audiotonix's proposed acquisition of 100 percent of Soundtech Group S.r.l. This follows the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission's February 19, 2026, announcement that it would review the Soundtech Group acquisition under Australia’s new merger regime. Audiotonix sought to acquire Soundtech through two special purpose vehicles: Sound Bidco S.r.l and Sound Bidco (Denmark) ApS.
