On April 1, 2026, Augustana University seniors Gracen Juffer and Madelyn Sliper, studying brewing & fermentation, brewed a Maple Cream Ale as their capstone project to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Mary Jo Wegner Arboretum. The Augustana University Theatre Department previously announced on March 30 its production of “She Kills Monsters,” a dramatic comedy by acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen, directed by alumnus Jeff Larson ‘16, with performances scheduled from April 16 through April 19. On March 29, Augustana Student Association (ASA) President Igen Nyawanda ‘28 and Vice President Maggie McKeown ‘28 outlined their administration's strategic plan, which will focus on redefining community. Earlier, on March 25, the Augustana University Eide/Dalrymple Gallery opened “Flower and Flame,” an exhibition by artist Deborah Mitchell, featuring works such as "Through a Lens Darkly" and on view through April 23. This follows the March 23 announcement that the Augustana Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will lead this year's Ace’s Painting Party, an annual event sponsored by Nyberg’s ACE allowing community members to paint the ice at Midco Arena, now partnering with Make-A-Wish.
