Augustana University is a privately owned university founded in 1860. Located in the United States, it has a current student and staff headcount of approximately 700.
Augustana University announced its largest-ever student body for the 2025-26 academic year, with 2,548 students enrolled. This number includes both full- and part-time undergraduate and graduate students from 44 states and 45 countries. The university also partnered with Our Savior’s Lutheran Church to host performances by the Augustana Bach Collegium. In October, Augustana hosted its third annual Critical Inquiry & Citizenship Colloquium, featuring Dr. Joy Buolamwini as the keynote speaker. Separately, Augustana and Southeast Technical College reported record-high student enrollment for the fall, contributing to over 7,600 students attending colleges across Sioux Falls campuses.
