AZ Alkmaar is a privately owned Dutch professional football club founded in 1967 and based in Alkmaar and the Zaan district of the Netherlands. The club, also known as AZ, employs approximately 360 people and its primary activity is the staging of spectator sports, specifically professional football matches.
