Barcelona Capital Nàutica (BNOF), also known as the Fundació Navegació Oceànica de Barcelona (FNOB), is a privately owned Spanish organization founded in 2005. Employing approximately 20 people, BNOF's primary activity is the organization and management of spectator sports, specifically the Barcelona World Race sailing competition. As of 2023, it remains operational in Spain.
A study conducted by the University of Barcelona and the Barcelona Capital Nàutica Foundation (FBCN) revealed that the 37th America's Cup, held in Barcelona in 2024, generated a €1.034 billion positive economic impact for the host venue. This finding was reported on multiple occasions. The study highlighted the significant financial boost provided by Team New Zealand's decision to host the competition in Barcelona.
