Barcelona Sporting Club

Barcelona Sporting Club, a privately owned entity headquartered in Ecuador, was founded in 1925 and operates with approximately 210 employees. Its primary offerings include sports tickets, merchandise, and sponsorship. The club is internationally known as Barcelona de Guayaquil and is best recognized for its professional football team, which currently plays in the Ecuadorian Serie A, the highest level of football in the country. It holds the distinction of being the only club in the Ecuadorian top flight never to have played in the Serie B. The team has won the Serie A title a record 16 times, with its most recent win in 2020, and has also secured six regional titles, five of which were in the professional era. Furthermore, Barcelona Sporting Club was the first Ecuadorian club to reach the Copa Libertadores finals, doing so twice.
