Barix announced the addition of SRT support to its LX400 encoder/decoder, offering a third IP transport option for live broadcast and production via a board-level upgrade. This spring, Barix plans to add SRT connectivity to the LX400 AoIP broadcast codecs, aiming to provide near-zero latency for live broadcast streams. The company showcased the LX400 and Exstreamer 500, featuring SRT, Opus, security, stream redundancy, and exact delay, at the NAB show this year. Additionally, Barix updated its AudioPoint audio-to-mobile streaming platform for houses of worship, utilizing a Wi-Fi-based system for low-latency multichannel audio streaming. This platform refresh follows the initial release over a decade ago.
