This followed the January 26 announcement that students are gaining leadership experience through the Polynesian Cultural Center’s (PCC) "Apprenticeship Program," a student-centered initiative designed to provide hands-on experience in a professional culinary environment. Previously, on January 23, 2026, Academic Vice President Isaiah Walker announced the appointment of Dr. Spencer Ingley and Dr. Amanda Wallace as co-directors of the Edward D. Smith Center for Learning & Teaching (CLT); Ingley began his tenure on September 1, 2025, and Wallace started her appointment on January 1, 2026.
