BTESA, also known as Broad Telecom S.A., a privately owned company headquartered in Spain, was founded in 1995 with approximately 80 employees. The company specializes in telecoms, focusing on the design and manufacture of Digital and Analog TV transmitters, which are available in both air-cooled and liquid-cooled configurations. It also produces repeaters and Gap-Fillers, supporting all digital and analog TV standards. BTESA holds a supply record for Turn-key TV projects globally.
BTESA plans to exhibit at IBC 2026, from September 4, showcasing its Digital TV and DAB transmitters, alongside its capabilities in engineering and integrating broadcast networks and systems. Previously, on June 23, the company organized a "Broadcast Meets Broadband" technical seminar at its headquarters, discussing the evolution of DVB-T2 and DAB+ terrestrial broadcasting technologies and their integration with the DVB-I standard. Earlier, from May 18 to 21, BTESA presented its high-power State Amplifiers (SSAs) for scientific laboratories and particle accelerator facilities at the IPAC conference in Deauville, France. In April 2026, BTESA achieved ISO 56001:2024 certification in Innovation Management, transitioning from the Spanish UNE 166002:2021 standard to the international standard published in September 2024, following a successful audit in February. This followed an April 7 engineering project for Andorra Telecom, where BTESA detected, analyzed, and diagnosed recurring interference issues in the uplink band of the country's critical TETRA network.
