Winston-Salem’s East of Texas, a Tex-Mex BBQ restaurant, announced on January 12, 2026, it would open a new 5,579-square-foot location at the American Tobacco Campus in Durham by summer 2026, in conjunction with CBC Real Estate. On the same day, The Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle (COT) launched "Live at Bay 7," a new nine-week interdisciplinary performance series featuring music, dance, theatre, and storytelling at the American Tobacco Campus, running through March 2026. Previously, on January 8, Campbell Women's Basketball returned to linear television broadcasts, with its home games against Elon and William & Mary airing on WRAL2 in Raleigh and WITN's MyNetwork TV in Greenville. This follows news reported on December 22, 2025, that Warren Thomas joined Capitol Broadcasting Company as its new General Counsel in April 2025.
