Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC) is a privately owned broadcast media company founded in 1939. Headquartered in the United States, CBC employs approximately 230 people and its primary business is the production and distribution of broadcast media.
On January 25, 2020, Barnhill Contracting Company received a Construction Excellence Award from the Carolinas Associated General Contractors for its work on the Capitol Broadcasting/WRAL Headquarters renovation in Raleigh, North Carolina. This project included the commissioning of original artwork by Stephen Hayes, using recycled materials from the company's archives to depict its history in media, sports, entertainment, and real estate. Separately, CBC Real Estate, a division of Capitol Broadcasting Company, announced plans with the YMCA of the Triangle to develop a new YMCA facility in Downtown Durham on a 0.79-acre plot at the American Tobacco Campus. Finally, Wake County and the town of Zebulon selected a new operator for Five County Stadium in Zebulon.
