This follows private equity firm CVC taking a minority stake in the independent CDN provider on September 28. CVC Capital Partners agreed to acquire this stake on September 25, valuing the Prague-based internet infrastructure provider at approximately $1.9 billion (€1.7 billion). This transaction marks the first time CDN77 has accepted external capital since its founding in 2011, with founder and CEO Zdenek Cendra retaining a majority stake.
