Chile Rugby is a State Owned entity headquartered in Chile, founded in 1953, and employs approximately 80 individuals. Functioning as the governing body for rugby union in Chile, also known as the Chilean Rugby Federation (Spanish: Federación de Rugby de Chile), it is responsible for the various national teams representing Chile in international competitions. The Federation is a member of international organizations such as World Rugby, which it joined in 1991, and Sudamérica Rugby, the regional governing body for rugby in South America. The entity oversees over 18,000 players.
