Cinépolis announced on September 17, 2026, it would distribute "Om Ka Hari," a family drama-comedy starring Anshuman Jha and Raghubir Yadav, through its distribution arm. This decision follows the success of "Hanuman-Ansh" and underscores the company's strategy to back content-led Hindi cinema in theaters. Earlier, on September 7, a pact involving Cinepolis was among several industry deals unveiled at the Lumière Summit in Saint-Paul-de-Vence, encompassing co-production, financing, distribution, exhibition, and education. This followed news from September 4, when Cinepolis India detailed its strategy to expand its cinema footprint in the country, citing significant growth opportunities in India's underscreened market amid surging box office revenues. India remains a key strategic market for the Mexican multiplex chain, which holds the distinction as the sole international exhibition player in the country. Previously, on August 29, Swiggy Dineout launched its ‘Order-in-Cinemas’ feature in partnership with Cinepolis and Asian Cinemas, providing a new ordering experience within multiplexes.
