Cirque du Soleil's high-energy variety show, "Mad Apple," will close permanently on September 5 after more than four years of performances at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip. The company announced the closure on August 15. The fast-paced production, described as a celebration of New York City's nightlife, incorporates comedy, acrobatics, magic, dance, and live music, and features a pre-curtain bar that transitions to become part of the stage.
