It is a subsidiary of Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network and was founded in 1978, employing approximately 180 individuals. The company reported $120.5M in revenue as of 2023. Functioning as a provider of broadcast television and radio, the company operates a network of public radio stations across Connecticut, western Massachusetts, and eastern Long Island, affiliated with NPR (National Public Radio). Its parent organization, Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network, also manages Connecticut Public Television (CPTV).
