Cornell University is a privately owned, co-educational, and nonsectarian Ivy League research university located in Ithaca, New York. Founded in 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White, it holds land-grant status. As of fall 2023, Cornell employed approximately 19,510 people and had a student body of 16,071 undergraduates and 10,207 graduate students representing all 50 U.S. states and 130 countries.
