Crohn's and Colitis Canada, also known as Crohn et Colite Canada, is a privately owned organization headquartered in Canada. Founded in 1974, it operates with approximately 120 employees. The organization functions as a national volunteer-based charity dedicated to finding cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the lives of children and adults affected by these chronic conditions.
On April 2, 2026, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, in partnership with AbbVie, opened applications for the 2026 AbbVie IBD Scholarship Program, marking the initiative's 15th anniversary. The program offers fifteen $5,000 scholarships to Canadian students living with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, and has supported over 150 students since its launch in 2012. Previously, on March 3, 2026, Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, partnering with Pfizer, honored female researchers through its annual Women In IBD Researcher Award competition, recognizing their advancements in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) research.
