Crohn's and Colitis Canada, also known as Crohn et Colite Canada, is a privately owned organization headquartered in Canada. Founded in 1974, it operates with approximately 120 employees. The organization functions as a national volunteer-based charity dedicated to finding cures for Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improving the lives of children and adults affected by these chronic conditions.
Crohn's and Colitis Canada recently highlighted Emma Daniels, who is creating a dedicated space for 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals within the Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis community, as part of Pride Month celebrations on June 24, 2026. This followed the organization's feature on June 19, 2026, of Kris Sage, who manages new fatherhood alongside a Crohn's disease diagnosis received at age 35. Earlier in June, on the 8th, Crohn's and Colitis Canada presented its 22nd annual Montreal Gala, an Old Hollywood-themed event sponsored by Sanavie, designed to unite the Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis community. On June 4, 2026, Charlie Leslie participated in Regina's Gutsy Walk, an annual event held on June 7 to support and raise awareness for people living with Crohn's and Colitis, underscoring the ongoing challenges of chronic diseases like ulcerative colitis.
