Deportivo Alavés, S.A.D., a privately owned Spanish football club based in Vitoria-Gasteiz, was founded in 1921 as Sport Friend's Club. As of 2023, the club, commonly known as Alavés, employs approximately 70 people and had annual revenues below $10 million. Alavés currently plays in La Liga, the highest level of Spanish professional football.
