News Summary:

Detroit PBS received a $100,000 grant from Masco Corporation on March 3, 2026, to advance the station’s local journalism, expand coverage of the Mackinac Policy Conference, and support the presentation of PBS' "This Old House" series. Previously, on February 11, the organization secured a $2 million grant to produce and distribute special programming as the lead media partner for the "Faith in Detroit" initiative. This four-year community-driven initiative, announced by Christ Church Cranbrook in January, aims to amplify stories of faith within the community through events, mixed-media art, and video content. Earlier, on January 12, Detroit PBS elected three new members to its board of trustees: Richard Glover, an enterprise risk professional at Kelly Services; Fatima Salman, ENGAGE program manager at the University of Michigan School of Social Work; and Megan Spanitz, COO and chief strategy officer of the Detroit Regional Chamber.
