Disney Television Animation (DTA) is a privately owned animation and post-production studio headquartered in the United States. A subsidiary of Walt Disney Studios, DTA employs approximately 590 people. The studio produces animated television series for various Disney platforms, including Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney+, as well as other online outlets. Its output includes both established franchises featuring characters like Mickey Mouse and newer properties such as *The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder*, *Monsters at Work*, and *Big City Greens*. DTA has been in operation for 37 years.
A class action lawsuit was filed against Disney on an unspecified date, alleging the unlawful collection of personal information from children under 13 who viewed Disney videos on YouTube. Separately, Bernstein reported that Disney+ experienced no U.S. subscriber growth last quarter, with only modest future gains anticipated. Growth will primarily come from Hulu's Charter deal, rather than organic sign-ups. Disney's focus is shifting to international markets for future growth.
