Its focus is accelerating software development for the digital television market, specifically enhancing four core components: DVB Core, MHEG Engine, HbbTV Plug-In, and CI+ Engine. On September 11th, 2025, DTVKit announced its involvement in the creation of OORO, the first monetized Arabic smart TV platform. The platform was built in Cairo, Egypt and Bristol, UK. Later in 2025, DTVKit participated in IBC 2025 in Amsterdam, sharing a stand with Ocean Blue Software, where Unionman and Vista showcased live demos using DTVKit software. DTVKit's open, collaborative approach to digital TV software was highlighted, emphasizing the importance of diversity in delivery infrastructure. Also in 2025, DTVKit noted the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) hosted a workshop at BroadcastAsia 2025 focusing on adapting to changing content delivery infrastructures while maintaining accessibility and public service value. Finally, DTVKit recognized the industry's shift towards an IP-centric future with the adoption of standards like ATSC 3.0 and DVB-NIP, enabling broadcasters to integrate interactive features.
