On April 2, 2026, a recent book contribution, "Illuminating the Kodak Girl," examined a 1909 photograph by Rudolf Eickemeyer of a woman with a camera, which Kodak used in its direct mail advertising. Earlier the same day, the Kodak Slide N Scan Film & Slide Scanner was highlighted for its ability to convert old film, negatives, and slides into digital memories. On April 1, Sree Vinayaga Screens, a commercial offset and packaging printing company in South India, upgraded its pre-press operations with the installation of Kodak’s CtP solution and Sonora process-free plates, facilitated by Insight Print Communications. This followed Eastman Kodak’s announcement on March 31 that it is expanding its pharmaceutical manufacturing by producing key starting materials (KSMs) domestically in the U.S. to improve supply chain speed, reliability, and compliance. Also on March 31, Kodak Alaris, founded nearly two decades ago, began shutting down and integrating into Eastman Kodak, which previously manufactured the film while Alaris handled its distribution and sales.
