Elisa buys fibre network Napapiirin Kuituverkot in Finnish Lapland
Elisa has announced its acquisition of Napapiirin Kuituverkot, a fibre network in Finnish Lapland, from owners Neve and Koillis-Lapin Sahko. Napapiirin Kuituverkot has fibre customers in Rovaniemi, Kemijarvi, Pelkosenniemi, Savukoski, Salla, Kolari, Pello, Enontekio and Tervola. Elisa take over responsibility for the maintenance and development of the fibre-optic networks and customer relationships and services but customers will not notice any change.

Elisa resumes airing MTV
Elisa said it has reached a distribution agreement with Schibsted broadcaster MTV to resume carriage of its channels on the Elisa Viihte entertainment service and on Elisa's cable television network. Live broadcasts of the channels MTV3, MTV Sub and MTV Ava resumed on 03 July after the parties had terminated their partnership on 13 May.

Elisa, MTV reach deal to resolve months-long dispute
Finnish telecommunications company Elisa and commercial broadcaster MTV reached an agreement regarding channel distribution after a long-term dispute. The live broadcasts of MTV3, MTV Sub and MTV Ava resumed on Friday, and customers can access the channels automatically on Elisa Viihde and Elisa’s cable TV service in their usual channel positions, and no action is required on their part, said Elisa in a press release.
