Privately owned Endemol Shine UK, headquartered in the UK, is a subsidiary of Banijay and Banijay Group. Founded in 2015, the company employs approximately 120 individuals. Functioning as a British production company, it specializes in media production.
Banijay U.K. boss Patrick Holland on June 23 defended the company’s investigation into sacked “MasterChef” host Gregg Wallace, stating it was "completely right" for the production company to lead the inquiry over broadcaster BBC. Previously, on June 11, new cast members were announced for "Peaky Blinders," with Conleth Hill, Samuel Bottomley, Arturo Muselli, Daniel Monks, Lucie Shorthouse, Eugene Collins, and Cal O’Driscoll joining Jamie Bell and Charlie Heaton. Ned Dennehy and Packy Lee are also set to reprise their roles from the series and "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man." Earlier, on June 9, Banijay Entertainment unveiled Players Network, its new digital sports brand designed to house personality-driven, social-first sports entertainment formats. The brand confirmed "Jamie Vardy’s Having a Party," powered by Banijay Entertainment and Workerbee, as its flagship series.
