Enercare, a privately owned company headquartered in Canada, was founded in 1959 and employs approximately 890 individuals. It provides home and commercial services, including products and services in heating, cooling, plumbing, electrical, water heating, and water purification.
Brookfield initiated a sale process for its Canadian home services provider, Enercare, which is currently in the first round of bidding, according to sources familiar with the situation. Sell-side advisors CIBC and Scotiabank circulated marketing materials for Enercare’s Canadian water heater and HVAC leasing business to prospective buyers at the end of January. Previously, on November 28, 2025, Morningstar DBRS confirmed the credit ratings on the Variable Rate Equipment Contract Backed Loans Series 2019-1, jointly incurred by Enercare HS Portfolio Limited Partnership and Enercare Inc.
