Entertainment One (eOne), a privately owned Canadian company founded in 1970, is a studio focused on various aspects of entertainment content. With approximately 1100 employees, eOne's activities encompass development, acquisition, production, financing, distribution, and sales. Its services include film and television production and sales, kids and family entertainment (including production, distribution, and brand management), digital content, and immersive and live entertainment. Currently, eOne is a subsidiary of Lionsgate.
Lionsgate completed its acquisition of Entertainment One on December 27, 2023, for US$375 million, also assuming production financing loans; the Canadian division rebranded as Lionsgate Canada in June. In February 2024, Kezia Williams, a former Entertainment One head, began working as Universal Pictures International's managing director for the UK and Ireland. Entertainment One's work has been used by various clients, including Netflix, Apple iTunes, DreamWorks, HBO, and Iyuno. Pancho Mansfield, another Entertainment One alumnus, was appointed president of global scripted television at Blink49 Studios. Eric W. Shamlin, who previously worked at Entertainment One, is currently the CEO of Secret Level, an entertainment studio.
