The European Olympic Committees (EOC), a privately owned, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization headquartered in Italy, employs approximately 40 people. Its primary activity is the organization and promotion of spectator sports. As of 2023, the EOC's mission focuses on increasing the visibility of Olympic sports within Europe. The Games of the Small States of Europe (GSSE), held in Andorra from May 26-31, 2024, featured over 1000 athletes from nine National Olympic Committees (NOCs) competing in 19 disciplines. This marked the 20th edition of the biennial multi-sport event. Cypriot athlete Georgios Angonas won four gold medals in artistic gymnastics. The EOC signed a Host City Contract with Lignano Sabbiadoro, Italy for the 2027 Summer European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF). A collaboration with ANOC ensured live broadcast coverage of the 2025 GSSE in Andorra for the first time. The EOC reported significant activity in preparation for the Summer European Youth Olympic Festival in Skopje in 2025.
