FC Lugano is a privately owned company headquartered in Switzerland, founded in 1908, and currently employs approximately 130 individuals. The company reported $46.3M in revenue as of 2023. Its main product is spectator sports, operating as the sole Swiss top-tier club in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland.
FC Lugano permanently signed Swiss goalkeeper David von Ballmoos on March 31, 2026, securing him until June 30, 2029, after exercising an option from his loan from BSC Young Boys, which began on September 8. Also on March 31, the club launched the Championship Group Pack, offering fans a special package for the final three home matches at its iconic Cornaredo stadium before the team moves to the new AIL Arena. Previously, on March 29, the Swiss Football League announced the dates and kick-off times for matchdays 34 to 38 of the Brack Super League’s Championship Group, concluding the season, with the Basilea fixture marking the last at Cornaredo. This follows the club's ongoing 2026/27 season ticket campaign for the new AIL Arena, which began appearing on Lugano’s TPL buses with the slogan "The City Takes to the Pitch" on March 25. The campaign, which offers an additional perk until April 24, allows fans to secure seats at the new home, where the 2026/27 Brack Super League season will be played.
