Federated Wireless and Cisco validated and deployed Standard Power Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 in US and Canadian enterprise environments. This deployment, enabled by Federated Wireless’ Automated Frequency Coordination (AFC) service and Cisco’s infrastructure, demonstrated Wi-Fi 6E’s readiness for enterprise use and provided a blueprint for Wi-Fi 7 preparations (September 16, 2025). Cisco also demonstrated extended use of the 6GHz band for its Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 access points using Federated Wireless’ AFC system, further highlighting Wi-Fi 6E's suitability for large enterprise deployments and paving the way for Wi-Fi 7. Separately, Federated Wireless published a position paper advocating for the 4.4–4.94 GHz band as the foundation for America’s 6G future, suggesting this frequency range can unlock high-capacity mid-band spectrum for innovative AI deployments. The company also presented a pitch to US federal spectrum policy for licensing these 4 GHz frequencies as mid-band spectrum in 6G networks.
