Ferncast CEO and founder Detlef Wiese, who also founded Binaurics Audio, announced on August 6, 2026, a focus on transforming written content into broadcast-quality audio. This initiative addresses the challenge for broadcasters to increase content production across various platforms despite smaller teams and tighter budgets. Earlier, on April 23, 2026, Ferncast introduced its aixtream Concentrator, which simplifies program distribution by allowing broadcasters to send content in multiple formats—such as FM, DVB, DAB, and internet—without needing separate systems for each. Previously, on March 8, 2026, the company launched the fernBox, a compact, plug-and-play solution designed to make audio delivery and recording more affordable and simpler for studios, while also conserving space and power.
