This corridor aims to extend the company's West Texas network to serve hyperscale data center demand and establish new connectivity options into New Mexico, Arizona, and Mexico. This project builds on nearly $500 million FiberLight committed to West Texas over the past year. Previously, on September 22, 2026, FiberLight announced its strategy to construct this high-capacity duct and fiber corridor from Midland toward El Paso, Texas, stating the 300-mile expansion strengthens regional resiliency, supports rising hyperscale data center demand, and creates westbound optionality into New Mexico, Arizona, and Mexico.
