Foliascope, a privately owned company headquartered in Bourg-lès-Valence, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, France, was founded in 2011 by Pascal Le Nôtre, a co-founder of Folimage. With approximately 10 employees, it operates as an independent French film and television animation studio and production company, primarily engaged in the creation of movies, videos, and sound. The company was established to pursue traditional and volume-based animation formats under a specialized structure. Currently led by managing director Ilan Urroz, Foliascope functions as a hub for European animation, focusing on artistically demanding and socially engaged narratives for both youth and adult demographics. The studio has been involved in internationally recognized features and series, notably co-producing and animating Alain Ughetto's No Dogs or Italians Allowed (Interdit aux chiens et aux Italiens) and Jim Capobianco’s stop-motion historical feature The Inventor, alongside its debut feature film, The Tower (2018).
