Formula E, privately owned and headquartered in the UK, was founded in 2012 and operates with approximately 300 employees. The company specializes in spectator sports, specifically a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars.
Formula E is currently undergoing HR transformation while expanding to 21 race locations worldwide, featuring electric racing cars capable of reaching 0-60 mph in 1.8 seconds. On August 25, the organization also expressed confidence that Jeddah will host the opening round of the Gen4 era in December as planned, despite the ongoing Middle East conflict that has disrupted supply chains and international travel for motorsport. Earlier the same day, BTS partnered with Formula E to promote electric vehicles and combat climate change, using outdoor advertising to inspire global awareness. This followed the August 24 announcement of a multi-year partnership with Sennheiser, naming it Formula E's official sound provider for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, which will integrate Sennheiser’s professional audio solutions and AMBEO immersive audio technology. Previously, on August 21, Porsche’s GEN3 race car made its virtual debut in the Chinese version of Need for Speed Mobile, announced alongside Formula E’s ongoing partnership with Tencent, bringing real-world electric powertrain technology to mobile gamers.
