Previously, on June 1, 2026, Forum Communications finalized its acquisition of *The McKenzie County Farmer*, a weekly newspaper based in Watford City, North Dakota, expanding its network of community publications in western North Dakota and the Upper Midwest. In May, on May 24, 2026, Forum Communications collaborated with Piedmont University to overhaul the university's website, which subsequently received an Award of Excellence in the General Websites – Education category from the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts.
