On August 20, North Carolina-based Electrical Equipment Company (EECO) announced its acquisition of Virginia counterpart Foster Electric, with officials stating the deal expands EECO's industrial and automation expertise in the Virginia electrical contractor market. EECO, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based electrical distributor, completed the acquisition of Lynchburg, Virginia-based Foster Electric on August 11. Foster Electric had operated as an independent electrical supply distributor, serving Central Virginia for nearly 70 years. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
