Electrical Equipment Company (EECO) announced on August 20, 2026, its acquisition of Virginia counterpart Foster Electric. EECO officials stated the deal would expand its industrial and automation expertise in the Virginia electrical contractor market. This followed EECO's August 18 announcement, which detailed the acquisition of Lynchburg, Virginia-based Foster Electric, an independent electrical supply distributor that has served Central Virginia for nearly 70 years. The transaction terms were not disclosed. Earlier, on August 13, EECO, a full-line electrical distributor specializing in Industrial Automation and Power Solutions, initially announced the acquisition of the independent electrical supply distributor.
