On January 5, 2026, Fotokite introduced Sigma+, an evolution of its tethered drone platform, which includes enhanced GPS performance, upgraded flight and hardware features, and an optional IR+ 640 radiometric thermal camera for expanded operational visibility. This followed a strategic collaboration announced on November 25, 2025, with British defense-technology startup AeriaOne at Milipol Paris 2025. The partnership integrates Fotokite’s autonomous actively tethered unmanned aerial systems with AeriaOne’s Falcon Lens platform, creating a new operational category: Swarm-Enabled Ground Intelligence (SEGI), designed to provide tactical units with a persistent shared visual network that unites autonomous aerial overwatch with human-centric AI vision.
