On August 13, 2025, Fox13 Memphis reported an armed robbery of an armored truck employee replenishing an ATM at Orion Financial Bank in Memphis. Two suspects robbed the employee, one brandishing a firearm, while the other took cash from the ATM before fleeing. No injuries were reported, and the amount of money stolen remains unknown. The investigation continues. Separately, Fox13 Memphis reported that a Shelby County Chancery Court ordered The Wing Guru to pay Ja Morant over $300,000 in damages and interest following a breach of contract lawsuit. Morant sued after The Wing Guru stopped payments while continuing to use his name and likeness in promotions. Finally, Fox13 Memphis featured an interview with Jerry "The King" Lawler, who discussed a recent stroke and resulting temporary memory loss. Lawler expressed gratitude for the support he received.
