The number of French 5G cell sites emitting a signal on 3.5 GHz frequencies increased by 428 during October to reach 30,071 as of 01 November. Free Mobile secures approval to extend national roaming deal with Orange to end-2028
France's telecom regulator Arcep has confirmed that it has no objections to the contract terms allowing Iliad subsidiary Free Mobile to extend national roaming on Orange's 2G and 3G networks until the end of 2028. This follows an in-depth review of the amended contract, which was submitted for regulatory approval in May and is scheduled to take effect on 01 January 2026.
