Furukawa Electric Europe, a publicly owned company and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Furukawa Electric Company of Japan, is headquartered in the UK. Founded in 1991, the company, which employs approximately 50 individuals, established its London sales and service center in 1998 to serve the European, African, and Middle Eastern markets. Functioning as a provider of telecoms solutions, the company is organized by product group, comprising sales divisions handling NT Alloy, Green Trough, MCPET, and Optical components. It also includes an Interconnectivity Division specializing in Fusion Splicers and MT Connectors.
